Nicole is licensed and board certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM), and the Minnesota State Medical Board. She completed her graduate studies in Oriental Medicine at Northwestern Health Sciences University in Bloomington, MN, and her undergraduate degree at the University of Wisconsin - Green Bay.
Prior to opening her private practice, Life Healing Life, Nicole completed internships at the Edith Davis Acupuncture Clinic and Abbott Northwestern Hospital in their Institute for Health and Healing. She has coauthored a study guide on Chinese Herbal Medicine and is a regular public speaker on Chinese medicine around the Minneapolis/St. Paul area.
Nicole came to Chinese medicine through a deeply personal journey. Originally committed to the study of Western medicine, she found herself questioning her decision after a physically and emotionally traumatic event left her hospitalized for nearly a month. Eventually a new type of medicine came into her life, which not only changed her life, but inspired her to renew her hope of being a healer and helping to change others' lives.
Nicole has firsthand experience of Chinese medicine’s tremendous ability to heal - emotionally and physically - and is passionate about sharing that opportunity with others. She cannot imagine doing anything else she could love more, and hopes she will be able to share her enthusiasm and knowledge with others to help shift the way medicine is viewed and change our expectations on health and healthcare.
