Daonna is a Board Member & Past President of what is now known as the Midwest Region of Resolve, The National Infertility organization. Resolve is a non-profit, volunteer organization who serves the over 587,000 people currently experiencing infertility in the Midwest. Resolve’s mission is to provide timely and compassionate support and information to people who are experiencing infertility and to increase awareness through advocacy and public education. It was founded in 1974.

Daonna and her husband, Andy Start experienced infertility for over three years, and are the proud parents of 7 year old Zachary, and 3 year old Andrew. Both she and her husband have been involved with Resolve for over seven years.

She has been instrumental in bringing forth bills to the legislature in the state of Minnesota on behalf of Resolve to benefit the infertile community over the last four years. (Unfortunately, none have passed yet.) And she plans to continue her efforts in the legislature later this year. She also sat on the Uniform Parentage task force for the State of Minnesota in 2001.

Daonna spent over 20 years in the financial services arena in jobs ranging from National Account manager, wholesaler, and most recently consultant, to companies like Prudential, Reliastar, & Fortis. She is a graduate of Murray State University.

: If the only thing holding you back from adopting is the thought that it is too expensive and it will take too long to go through the application process, this session is for you. Participants will learn of all the resources available to make an adoption affordable and find out how to make the application process manageable and not so overwhelming.
